DIY Transit Info Display

CTA Bus & Train Tracker for Business Initiative

CTA is seeking partners who want to integrate CTA Bus Tracker SM, CTA Train Tracker SM and other public transit information into private institution and business environments in CTA Service Area.

Our partners can access CTA data including CTA Bus Tracker, CTA Train Tracker, Scheduled Service Data (GTFS), and Customer Alerts Data in new and existing digital signage networks, apps, Web services and other projects—all at no cost from CTA via our Developer Center.

These exciting new partnerships began development in 2009 with a pilot project with the Wicker Park Bucktown Special Service Area (WPB). The project included the installation of 12 digital display screens featuring Bus Tracker information located in private businesses throughout the neighborhood.

The project has attracted national attention and media coverage as the agreement, to our knowledge, is the first of its kind in the U.S. Since this time, similar projects have launched, including Bus Tracker screens at DePaul University, John Marshall Law School, and Loyola University.

If you are interested in including Bus Tracker at your institution or business, please contact us via [email protected]
