Rail: Take the Green Line and exit at the new Damen station or exit at the Ashland station from either a Green or Pink line train.

CTA-CFD Emergency Training Exercise to Temporarily Impact Red Line Service
The CTA and the Chicago Fire Department (CFD) will be conducting an emergency preparedness and training exercise on the Red Line between Cermak-Chinatown and Fullerton.
- Between 6 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Sun. 10/27, Red Line subway trains will be rerouted to the elevated tracks between Cermak-Chinatown and Fullerton in both directions (More details)
- Red Line trains will not stop at subway stations, but the following shows how you can reach rerouted Red Line trains:
- From North/Clybourn station: Walk 1/2 mile north to Armitage and 1/4 mile west to Armitage Brown Line station for Red Line trains.
- From Clark/Division station: Consider using #22 Clark bus south to Clark/Lake for Red Line trains (board on elevated platforms).
- From Chicago station: Use #66 Chicago bus west to Chicago Brown Line station (at Franklin) for Red Line trains.
- From Grand station: Walk approx. 1/2 mi south, across Chicago River, to State/Lake elevated station, for Red Line trains.
- Downtown: Board/exit trains at any Lake or Wabash Loop Elevated station.
- Roosevelt station: Board/exit trains on Green/Orange lines elevated platform
- For faster travel times, use the recommended CTA alternate service listed above. However, if needed, a free bus shuttle will operate approximately every 7.5 to 15 minutes between Fullerton and Clark/Lake in both directions.
Weekend Work to Temporarily Impact Brown Line Service
- Between 10 p.m., Fri. 10/25 and 10 p.m., Sat. 10/26, there will be no rail service on the Brown Line between Kimball and Irving Park (More details)
- Trains will operate between Irving Park station and the Loop only.
- Shuttle buses replace rail service between Irving Park and Kimball.
- Shuttle buses will make stops at the Kimball, Montrose (southbound only), and Irving Park stations, at the #81 Lawrence bus stops on Lawrence at Rockwell, Sacramento, Kedzie, and Western, and at the #50 Damen bus stops on Damen at Eastwood, and Montrose (northbound only).
- This service change is due to improvements being made at the Western Brown Line station.
Weekend Work to Temporarily Impact Blue Line Service
- Between 10 p.m., Fri. 10/25 and 4 a.m., Mon. 10/28, rail service between the Illinois Medical District station and the UIC-Halsted station will be temporarily suspended (More details)
- The Blue Line will operate between O’Hare and UIC-Halsted and between Forest Park and Illinois Medical District.
- Shuttle buses will operate in both directions between Illinois Medical District and UIC-Halsted.
- This service change is due to construction work at the Racine Blue Line station and Morgan substation.
