Choose CTA as Your Ride During these Cold Months

CTA’s trains and buses are the best and most affordable ways to get to various sporting events, concerts, and fireworks at Navy Pier; Weekend construction work to temporarily impact the Brown Line

Let CTA be your travel option to all your destinations around town. Customers can save money by purchasing an unlimited rides pass, either the 1-Day ($5) – far more economical and convenient than the price of gas and parking - or the 3-Day ($15) pass – a real budget-saving move.

Service for Upcoming Events

United Center Events

  • Charlotte Hornets vs. Chicago Bulls – Fri. 12/13 at 7 p.m.
  • New York Islanders vs. Chicago Blackhawks – Sun. 12/15 at 2 p.m.
  • Washington Capitals vs. Chicago Blackhawks – Tue. 12/17 at 7:30 p.m.

Service:

  • Rail: Take the Green Line and exit at the new Damen station or exit at the Ashland station from either a Green or Pink line train.
  • Bus: Get to and from the following events via the #20 Madison and #50 Damen bus routes. Customers can also take the #19 United Center Express route post event.

Navy Pier Events

  • Drone Show – Fri. 12/13 at 9 p.m.
  • Fireworks Show – Sat. 12/14 at 9 p.m. 

Service:

  • Bus: Several bus routes serve the area, including the following:
  • #29 State
  • #65 Grand
  • #66 Chicago
  • #124 Navy Pier

Weekend Work to Temporarily Impact Brown Line Service

  • Kimball-bound Brown Line trains will not stop at the Diversey station on the following dates:
  • For Kimball-bound service to this station, take a Kimball-bound train to the Wellington station and transfer to a Loop-bound train back to Diversey.
  • For Kimball-bound service from this station, take a Loop-bound train to Fullerton and transfer to a Kimball-bound train.
  • Fullerton Station: Board Kimball-bound Brown Line trains on the Red Line side of the Howard- and Kimball-bound platform.
  • This service change is due to track maintenance work to ensure that trains continue to operate safely along the Brown Line.
