The CTA will operate its #19 United Center Express buses to the United Center for two games featuring the Harlem Globetrotters on Friday, January 16 and Saturday, January 17. #19 service also will operate as usual for the Bulls game Saturday night.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for Friday's Globetrotter's game which starts at 7 p.m. #19 buses will begin their trips south on Michigan from Chicago Avenue at 5:05 p.m. Buses will operate every 12 minutes until the last bus leaves Michigan and Chicago at 6:30 p.m.
Doors open at 11:30 a.m. for Saturday's Globetrotter's game which starts at 1 p.m. #19 buses will begin their trips south on Michigan from Chicago Avenue at 11:05 a.m. and will operate every 12 minutes until the last bus leaves Michigan and Chicago at 12:30 p.m.
Doors open at 6 p.m. for Saturday evening's Bulls game which starts at 7:30 p.m. #19 buses will begin operating at 5:35 p.m. every 12 minutes until the last bus leaves Michigan and Chicago at 7 p.m.
Southbound #19 buses make stops on Michigan at Illinois and at Lake. Stops will be made on Madison at Wabash, State and Wells for customers transferring from 'L' and subway trains, and on Madison at Clinton for Metra riders from the Ogilvie Transportation Center and Union Station. From Clinton, #19 buses run express to the United Center.
After the games, #19 buses will await customers on the north side of the United Center eastbound on Madison near Gate 3. On return trips, #19 buses operate through downtown east on Washington, making all stops from Jefferson to Michigan before turning north on Michigan and making all stops from Randolph to Chicago. Service will operate every few minutes until one hour after the games end.
