CTA's #4 Cottage Grove buses arriving downtown will stay on Michigan, making all stops north to Wacker, starting Tuesday, March 7. After reaching Wacker, #4 buses will go east to Columbus and south back to Randolph before making a U-turn and ending their trips northbound on Columbus at Lake.Southbound service will not be affected.
#4 Cottage Grove buses returned to Michigan Avenue February 16 after a nine-month detour to State Street for construction on Michigan. The extension of service to Wacker will allow customers to exit buses more conveniently while construction continues.
Instead of turning east from Michigan at Randolph, #4 Cottage Grove buses will stay on Michigan, making stops at Randolph, South Water and Wacker on their way to the terminal on Columbus.
