CTA ADDS SERVICE FOR SPORTS EVENTS OVER THE WEEKEND OF APRIL 13–15 & MAKES BROWN LINE IMPROVEMENTS

CTA Buses Serve Soldier Field for Chicago Fire Soccer Game SaturdayExtra buses on the #12 Roosevelt and the #146 Marine/Michigan Express routes will serve Soldier Field Saturday, April 14, for the 8 p.m. soccer game between the Chicago Fire and D.C. United. Shuttle buses will supplement regular #12 service to Soldier Field from stations on the Red, Green and Orange Lines at Roosevelt, and will return to the stations after the game ends. #146 buses serve Soldier Field daily through early evening. Extra #146 will await fans after the game for trips to State Street downtown and north over the regular route via Michigan Avenue and Lake Shore Drive to the Berwyn Red Line 'L' station.

Brown Line Receives Permanent Weekday Service Improvements Permanent weekday service improvements are now in effect on the Brown Line, with eight additional trains operating from Kimball to downtown between 5 a.m. and 10 a.m., and four extra trains running between 8 p.m. and midnight. Service to downtown is also operating 15 minutes later, with the last train leaving Kimball at 11:40 p.m. and reaching Adams/Wabash at 12:12 a.m. Late night shuttle trains between Kimball and Belmont are running every 15 minutes instead of 20 minutes apart between midnight and 2:25 a.m., and service from Kimball to Belmont is starting 13 minutes earlier in the day, beginning at 4 a.m.Wrigley Field Express Buses Serve Cubs Night Games Starting MondayCTA's #154 Wrigley Field Express buses will provide service to all Cubs night games starting Monday, April 16, from a parking lot just south of Addison (3600 North) at Rockwell (2600 West), which is about 10 blocks east of the Addison exit from the Kennedy Expressway. A $5 parking fee includes bus fares for all occupants in each vehicle. #154 buses begin operating about two hours before the 7:05 p.m. game time. The buses stop for Wrigley Field before and after each game northbound on Clark just north of Addison. Besides Red Line trains, which serve the accessible Addison station at all hours, weekday night games at Wrigley Field will also be served by Purple Line Express trains, which will stop at Addison in both directions between Linden and the Loop before the start of each game, and by #22 Clark and #152 Addison buses.
