Fans attending the NCAA men's basketball tournament at the Allstate Arena Thursday, March 24 and Saturday, March 26 will find public transportation a convenient travel option. Fans can use the Chicago Transit Authority's O'Hare branch of the Blue Line to travel Rosemont station and connect to Pace buses that provide direct service to Allstate Arena.

Thursday night's games are between the University of Illinois and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee at 6:27 p.m., followed by a match up between Oklahoma State and Arizona at 8:57 p.m. Teams and game time for Saturday have not been finalized.

CTA's O'Hare branch of the Blue Line operates every four to six minutes on weekday afternoons and every seven to ten minutes other times from the Chicago Loop where customers can connect from all other CTA rail lines.

From the Rosemont station on Thursday, Pace bus route #221 Wolf Road will leave for the Allstate Arena every 10 minutes beginning at 5:27 p.m. with the last bus leaving the Rosemont station at 6:27 p.m. for the first game, and again from 7:57 p.m. until 8:57 p.m. for the second game.

Once Saturday's schedule is finalized, Pace buses will operate every 10 minutes beginning one hour prior to the game until the game begins.

Following the end of each game, Pace service will operate back to the Rosemont station until one hour after each game ends.

The cost of a one way ride on CTA buses and trains is $1.75 and 25 cents for a transfer. Pace buses accept all CTA fare media. For more details about all CTA service, call 836-7000 (all local area codes) or visit the CTA web site at www.transitchicago.com.
