CTA's #79 79th buses will be detoured off East 79th Street throughout the day Tuesday through Friday, February 27 ? March 2, and again on Tuesday, March 6, due to street closures in various locations.
The detour on Tuesday, February 27, will be in effect from 6 a.m. until sundown between King Drive and Cottage Grove. Buses will operate off 79th via King, 76th and Cottage Grove back to 79th in both directions.
From 6 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 28, #79 buses will be detoured to 76th between Cottage Grove and Greenwood. From 2 p.m. until sundown the same day, the buses will use 76th between King and Greenwood.
The detour on Thursday, March 1, Friday, March 2, and Tuesday, March 6, will be from 6 a.m. until sundown. During these hours, #79 buses will again use 76th between Cottage Grove and Greenwood.
