CTA's Holiday Train will spread yuletide cheer to customers on two more rail lines this weekend as it combines trips on both the Orange and Brown Lines Saturday, December 18. Earlier this month, the train was in service on the Blue, Red and Green Lines. After running between Midway Airport on the Southwest Side and the Ravenswood neighborhood on the Northwest Side, the train will have traveled through every community served by the 'L' in Chicago.
The Holiday Train is decorated with ornaments and thousands of lights both inside and outside. Positioned between pairs of passenger cars on the train is a decorated flatcar carrying reindeer and a sleigh with Santa on board. On Saturday the Holiday Train will make all regular stops on the two lines where it will be operating, and on the Lake and Wabash portions of the Loop ?L." CTA customers paying regular fares will be welcome to ride on any of the six passenger cars in service.
On Saturday, December 18, the Holiday Train will make two round trips on the Orange and Brown Lines, making all stops in both directions downtown between Adams/Wabash and Clark/Lake. So customers will know when to board, the Holiday Train will operate according to the following schedule:
