CTA SERVICE AFFECTED BY EVENTS OVER THE WEEKEND OF MARCH 16 – 18

Brown and Orange 'L' Lines Continue Detour Off Wells Through Weekend Due to ongoing work to correct problems at a building at 188 W. Randolph, Brown and Orange Line trains will operate through the weekend only on the Lake and Wabash sides of the Loop 'L', making stops at Clark/Lake, State/Lake, Randolph/Wabash, Madison/Wabash and Adams/Wabash stations in both directions. Stations on the Wells and Van Buren sides of the Loop will be closed.

Buses Detoured off Columbus for St. Patrick's Day Parade SaturdayThree CTA bus lines that regularly operate on Columbus Drive will be detoured Saturday, March 17, starting around noon, for the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade. The line of march will be north on Columbus from Balbo to Randolph. Instead of using Columbus, buses on the #6 Jeffery Express, #10 Museum of Science & Industry and #146 Marine/Michigan Express routes will stay on Michigan south of Balbo, connecting to their regular routes at Roosevelt.

Extra Buses Serve Flower and Garden Show at Navy Pier March 17 - 18 Buses on the #124 Navy Pier Expressroute will serve Navy Pier for the Flower and Garden Show this weekend from Union Station and Ogilvie Transportation Center (North Western Station), starting at 9 a.m. on Saturdays and at 10 a.m. on Sundays, with the last bus leaving Navy Pier for return trips to the stations 15 minutes after the show closes. #124 buses will operate every 15 minutes both days. Service to Navy Pier is also provided by CTA's #29 State, #56 Milwaukee, #65 Grand and #66 Chicago buses, which operate daily.

Extra Service to Soldier Field for XFL Football Game at 6 p.m. Sunday Soldier Field will be served by extra CTA buses Sunday, March 18, starting about two hours before the 6 p.m. XFL football game between the Chicago Enforcers and the San Francisco Demons. Shuttle buses will supplement regular service on the #12 Roosevelt route to Soldier Field from the fully accessible Red, Green and Orange Line 'L' stations at Roosevelt. Extra #146 Marine/Michigan Express buses will operate south on State from Lake. Also, #128 Soldier Field Express buses will provide direct service from the Ogilvie Transportation Center (North Western Station) on Madison between Canal and Clinton and from Union Station eastbound on Jackson at Canal before running express to Soldier Field.
