Gathering will provide assistance with career paths in construction, training programs, and transit industry opportunities
The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) will connect people seeking career resources, training and job opportunities with building trade labor unions, workforce partners, and contractors in the construction industry for its first quarterly career networking event of 2025, on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at Kennedy-King College. Attendees will learn about opportunities on CTA’s transformational projects, such as the Red Line Extension (RLE), the All Stations Accessible Program (ASAP), and the Forest Park Blue Line Improvements.
Building on the success of the last quarterly event of 2024, which welcomed over 50 attendees and 16 vendors, CTA continues to strengthen its commitment to fostering career opportunities and economic growth within the communities it serves.
“Investing in people is just as important as investing in infrastructure,” said JuanPablo Prieto, CTA Director of Diversity Programs. “These events are about highlighting opportunity and creating access to careers that empower individuals and strengthen the economic vitality of our city.
Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with trade labor unions, CTA workforce partners, and contractors in the construction industry to explore career resources, training programs, and job openings related to transit projects.
This event is the latest in a series of measures taken by the CTA to extend career opportunities to help foster economic growth in the communities it serves:
