Elevators at the Washington/Wells Station Temporarily Removed From Service for Repair Work

December 31, 2009

The elevators at the Washington/Wells station are temporarily unavailable until Tuesday, January 12, due to maintenance and repair work. As a result, the Washington/Wells station is not accessible to customers with disabilities.

Customers who need elevator access can board and exit Loop-elevated trains from the following accessible stations: Library (State/Van Buren), Clark/Lake (Thompson Center/203 N. LaSalle), Merchandise Mart or Roosevelt.

Customers are advised to allow extra travel time. To check the status of elevators across the CTA rail system, customers can call the elevator status hotline at 1-888-YOUR-CTA, wait for prompts to begin, then press 5 and then 2.
