CTA’s trains and buses are the best ways to get to various sporting events at the United Center; Weekend construction work to temporarily impact the Red Line
Let CTA be your main travel option as you get around Chicagoland. Customers can save money by purchasing an unlimited rides pass, either the 1-Day ($5) – far more economical and convenient than the price of gas and parking - or the 3-Day ($15) pass – a real budget-saving move.

United Center Events
- Phoenix Suns vs. Chicago Bulls – Sat. 2/22 at 4 p.m.
- Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Chicago Blackhawks – Sun. 2/23 at 6 p.m.
- Los Angeles Clippers vs. Chicago Bulls – Wed. 2/26 at 7 p.m.
Service:
- Rail: Take the Green Line and exit at the new Damen station or exit at the Ashland station from either a Green or Pink line train.
- Bus: Get to and from the following events via the #20 Madison and #50 Damen bus routes. Customers can also take the #19 United Center Express route post event.
Weekend Work to Temporarily Impact Red Line Service
- Between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Sat. 2/22, 95th-bound Red Line trains will bypass stations from Jarvis through Thorndale due to track maintenance to ensure trains continue to operate safely. (More details)
- 95th-bound trains will not stop at Jarvis, Morse, Loyola, Granville or Thorndale stations.
- For 95th-bound service from these stations, take a Howard-bound train to Howard and transfer to a 95th-bound train.
- For 95th-bound service to these stations, take 95th-bound train to Argyle and transfer to a Howard-bound train.
- Note: The temporary Bryn Mawr station is only served by Red Line trains toward downtown and 95th; Howard-bound trains do not stop at the new temporary Bryn Mawr station. Use Argyle to transfer from 95th-bound to Howard-bound trains.
- Alternate service through the affected area is available on the #36 Broadway, #147 Outer DuSable Lake Shore Express, and #151 Sheridan bus routes during their normal hours of operation (normal bus fares apply).
