Late Night Single Track in Effect on Red Line Monday through Next Thursday Single track service will be in effect southbound between 45th and 55th Streets from 10 p.m. until 4 a.m. Monday night, August 2 through Thursday night, August 5.
Customers should allow extra travel time.
Red Line By-Pass Tracks in ServiceDue to the Dan Ryan Red Line construction, CTA trains are using by-pass tracks between 62nd and 58th Streets until next weekend.
CTA trains also are using by-pass tracks between 30th and 34th Streets until mid-September.
Customers will continue to board trains at their normal stations.
Cermak Closed for ?Taste of Mexico? until Monday MorningCermak is closed between Morgan and Throop for ?Taste of Mexico? now through 6 a.m. Monday. #21 Cermak and #X21 Cermak Express buses will operate in both directions via Cermak, Throop, 21st, Racine, Cullerton, Morgan, back to Cermak, then resume the regular route.
Additional Service Provided for Venetian Night and Other Events SaturdayExtra bus and rail service will be provided for Venetian Night, the Grant Park Orchestra concert at Millennium Park and the fireworks at Monroe Harbor on Saturday evening, July 31.
Additional bus service will be provided on routes serving downtown and Navy Pier. Longer trains and more frequent service will operate on the Red, Blue and Brown Lines. Longer trains also will operate on the Green and Orange Lines.
Nine CTA Bus Routes Become Accessible Beginning Sunday and MondayNine additional CTA bus routes will officially become fully accessible to customers with disabilities Sunday, August 1 and Monday, August 2. The addition of these routes makes the CTA bus system 95 percent accessible. The affected routes are:

#122 Illinois Center/North Western Express (Monday-Friday rush periods)
#125 Water Tower Express (Monday-Friday rush periods)
#128 Soldier Field Express (Bears games only)
#135 Clarendon/LaSalle Express (Monday-Friday rush periods)
#145 Wilson/Michigan Express
#146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express
#154 Wrigley Field Express (Cubs night, weekend and holiday games) and
#156 LaSalle
16th Street Closed for Sewer Work 16th Street is closed between Pulaski and Central Park for approximately two months. #18 16th/18th buses will operate in both directions via 16th, Kostner, Cermak, Ogden, Central Park, back to 16th, then resume the regular route.
Fairbanks Closes for Pedestrian Bridge Construction Fairbanks will be closed between Huron and Superior from 5 a.m. until noon Saturday and Sunday. During the closures northbound #3 King Drive buses will operate via Michigan, Chicago, Inner Lake Shore Drive, Ontario, Fairbanks, Ohio to the terminal on Ohio just west of McClurg Court. #3 buses will begin their southbound trips via Ohio, Inner Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, back to Michigan, then resume the regular route.
Eastbound #66 Chicago buses will operate via Chicago, Inner Lake Shore Drive, Ontario, back to Fairbanks, then resume the regular route. Westbound buses will operate via Fairbanks, Ohio, Inner Lake Shore Drive, back to Chicago, then resume the regular route.
Helicopter Lift Closes Chicago Avenue Sunday MorningA helicopter lift at 500 West Superior will close Chicago between Halsted and Hudson from 10 a.m. until noon Sunday. #66 Chicago buses will operate in both directions via Chicago, Halsted, Division, Orleans, back to Chicago, then resume the regular route.
Filming Project Closes Downtown Streets Sunday NightA filming project will close Jackson from Franklin to Dearborn, and Clark from Monroe to Congress from 4 p.m. Sunday until 4 a.m. Monday morning. Southbound #22 Clark buses will operate via Monroe, State, Congress, back to Clark, then resume the regular route. Northbound service will not be affected.
Eastbound #126 Jackson buses will operate via Franklin, Monroe, State, back to Jackson, then resume the regular route. Westbound buses will operate via Adams, Dearborn, Madison, Wacker, back to Van Buren, then resume the regular route.
Eastbound #130 Grant Park Treasures buses will operate via Franklin, Monroe, State, back to Jackson, then resume the regular route. Westbound buses will operate via Dearborn, Madison, Wacker, back to Adams, then resume the regular route.
Eastound #151 Sheridan buses will operate via Franklin, Monroe, back to State, then resume the regular route. Westbound buses will operate via Dearborn, Madison, Wacker, back to Adams, then resume the regular route.
Wells Closes for Construction Beginning MondayWells will be closed between 63rd and 65th Streets beginning at 6 a.m. Monday and continuing through the end of the year. Southbound #24 Wentworth buses will operate via Yale, 63rd, Stewart, Marquette, back to Wentworth, then resume the regular route. Northbound service will not be affected.
Clark Street Closes for Construction Beginning MondayClark Street will be closed between Polk and 15th beginning at 6 a.m. Monday and lasting until next spring while the intersection of Clark/Roosevelt is reconfigured. Northbound #24 Wentworth buses will operate via Clark, Archer, State, Polk, back to Dearborn, then resume the regular route. Southbound buses will operate via Polk, State, Archer, back to Clark, then resume the regular route.
Division Bridge over the Chicago River Closes Beginning MondayThe Division bridge over the North Branch of the Chicago River will be closed daily from 9:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Monday, August 2 through Friday, August 6.Eastbound #70 Division buses will operate via Division, Hooker, Halsted, back to Division, then resume the regular route. Westbound buses will operate via Division, Halsted, North Branch, back to Division, then resume the regular route.
