Track Work Affects Red Line North of Wilson Overnight Friday and Monday Track work on the Red Line will require southbound trains to use the Purple Line tracks and bypass certain North Side stations late Friday night, April 12, and Monday night, April 15. From 10 p.m. until 1 a.m. both nights, southbound trains will not stop at Granville, Thorndale or Bryn Mawr. In addition to these stations, Berwyn, Argyle and Lawrence will be bypassed from 1 a.m. until 4 a.m. During this period customers traveling south can board a northbound train and change to a southbound train at Loyola. Southbound riders wishing to exit trains at the affected stations can ride to Berwyn and later in the evening to Wilson and change to a northbound train.
Overnight track work on the Red Line will require southbound trains to bypass only the Argyle and Lawrence stations from Tuesday, April 16, through Friday, April 19. From 10 p.m. until 4:30 a.m. nightly, customers traveling south from these stations can board a northbound train to Berwyn and change to a southbound train. Southbound riders intending to exit trains at Argyle or Lawrence can ride to Wilson and change to a northbound train.
Bridge Construction Detours Buses Off Addison at Kennedy April 13-14Reconstruction of the Metra bridge west of the Kennedy Expressway will close Addison between the expressway and Avondale from 3 a.m. Saturday, April 13, until 6 p.m. Sunday, April 14. During this period, eastbound #152 Addison buses will be detoured off Addison north on Pulaski to the Kennedy Expressway and southeast back to Addison. Westbound buses will operate via the Kennedy, Pulaski and Avondale to Addison.
Halsted and North Avenue Bridges Closed at Midday April 16 ?17Repairs on bridges across the North Branch of the Chicago River at Halsted and at North Avenue will require detouring two bus routes from 9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, April 16 -17. #8 Halsted buses will be detoured off Halsted in both directions via Chicago, Larrabee and Division back to Halsted. #72 North buses will be detoured off North Avenue in both directions via Elston, Division and Halsted to North.
