Cleaning Affects Red Line Subway Overnight Friday and Saturday Sewer cleaning and wall washing in the State Street Subway will require Red Line trains to use a single track between 13th Street and Grand Avenue from 11:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. Friday, September 20 and Saturday, September 21. Trains will operate every 15 minutes in both directions while serving Loop subway stations between Roosevelt and Grand.
Track Maintenance Affects Purple Line Saturday and Sunday A single track will be in effect on the Purple Line between Central and Linden Saturday, September 21 and Sunday, September 22 from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. both days. Crews will be replacing ties on the bridge at Central Avenue.
Structure Maintenance in Two Phases Affects Brown Line Sunday A single track will be in effect on the southbound tracks of the Brown Line between Western and Byron from 7:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Sunday, September 22. Then, from 12:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. a single track will be in effect on the northbound tracks at the same location.
Helicopter Lift Closes Dearborn and Adams Sunday A helicopter lift will close Dearborn between Marble Place (just south of Adams) and Jackson. Also, Adams will be closed between Clark and State Streets on Sunday, September 22 from 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. Northbound #22 Clark, #36 Broadway and #62 Archer buses will be rerouted via Monroe, State, Madison back to Dearborn to return to the regular route. Westbound #60 Blue Island/26th,#126 Jackson and #151 Sheridan buses will be rerouted via State, Madison, LaSalle back to Adams to resume the regular route.
Helicopter Lift Closes Clark and Randolph Sunday A helicopter lift at the James R. Thompson Center (State of Illinois Building) will close Clark Street between Lake and Washington, as well as Randolph Street between Dearborn and Clark Sunday, September 22 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. This affects the southbound #22 Clark bus route. Buses will be rerouted via Wacker, LaSalle, Washington and back to Clark to return to the regular route.
