In January, Hop on CTA as You Travel Throughout the City

January 16, 2025

CTA’s trains and buses are the best and most affordable ways to get to various sporting events at the United Center; Upcoming construction work to temporarily impact the Red Line

Let CTA be your number one transit option as you get around town. Customers can save money by purchasing an unlimited rides pass, either the 1-Day ($5) – far more economical and convenient than the price of gas and parking - or the 3-Day ($15) pass – a real budget-saving move.

Service for Upcoming Events

  • Vegas Golden Knights vs. Chicago Blackhawks – Sat. 1/18 at 7 p.m.

Construction Work to Temporarily Impact Red Line Service

  • Between Fri. 1/17 at 10 p.m. and Mon. 2/03 at 4 a.m., Howard-bound trains will not stop at the Addison station. (More details)
  • For service to this station, take a Howard-bound train to Sheridan (or Wilson, if a stair-free transfer is needed) and transfer to a 95th-bound train.
  • For service from this station, take a 95th-bound train to Belmont and transfer to a Howard-bound train.
  • This service change is due to track construction to open the second of two newly reconstructed east tracks between Belmont and Addison stations as part of the Red and Purple Modernization (RPM) project.
