Welcome to Chicago transit

This section of our website helps people who do not speak English as their primary language understand the basics about how to ride transit.

Additionally, this entire website is designed to be compatible with many online translation services that can automatically translate information into many languages from around the world.

We've produced a quick overview to how to ride CTA available both in professionally translated formats for some of the most commonly spoken non-English languages in Chicago, as well as provide direct links to the same information as translated by Google Translate in a greater number of languages.

Non-English language guides

These introductions to CTA service are available in the following languages (and have been professionally translated):

Additionally, the same information is available through computer-based translation with Google Translate (which may make occasional mistakes and thus should be considered experimental), via these convenient links, below:

Many other languages are supported by this site through Google Translate and other online translation services, including those automated translations available in your computer or phone's built-in browser.

Simply visit our quick system overview page in your favorite translation service or automatically translated by your browser to its set primary language for automatic translation to get started. https://transitchicago.com/simplified-start/
