CTA Provides Reconciliation of Free Rides Provided Related to Fare Payment Issues 12/30/2013

CTA Releases Ventra Performance Metrics 12/20/2013

The Chicago Transit Authority today reported continued improvement in how Ventra readers work on CTA buses, following the completion of a fleet-wide software upgrade by Cubic Transportation Systems. The improvements on buses, completed in early December, have led to faster, more reliable boarding for CTA customers and nearly eliminated instances of card “tap” delays that led to transaction denial or a second charge from double-tapping related to delays. Bidding for the week-long auction on www.ricklevin.com ended Wednesday. Customers placed more than $34,000 of bids on 117 items. Reminder: Some Magnetic Stripe Cards Expire this Weekend 12/13/2013

The CTA reminds customers who are still using magnetic stripe fare cards to check the expiration date stamped on the back of the card. Some customers may have cards that are expiring on December 15, meaning they will no longer work as of 12:01 am on Monday, December 16.
